Smart Access
Java Runtime Engine (JRE) is used for the execution of Java applets.
J-SAM is an example of a Java applet, but also RDP and Citrix access can be provided
as a Java applet.
Java Runtime Engine is distributed by Oracle for the following operating sytems:
Via the website http://www.java.com/en/download/installed.jsp the local workstation can be checked for the proper installation and configuration of Java Runtime Engine. On this location instructions can be found for properly configuring Java Runtime Engine.
Citrix Receiver is client software, that is required for accessing Citrix environments. Via Smart Access there are multiple ways to access Citrix environments:
The difference between the first two and the last is that with the last option no Citrix Receiver software needs to be installed on the local workstion (when using Smart Access). Requirement here however is that Java Runtime Engine needs to be installed.
The Citrix Receiver client is downloadable through Citrix Receiver Center
On the Citrix Receiver page choose the correct operating system and follow the instructions to install the Citrix Receiver client.
